This paper presents a study about information and communication technologies (ITC) as resources in teaching practices in educational careers in Spain. The object of the study is to understand the incidence that ITC practices have in teaching and reveal how they improve the institutions where they operate. A questionnaire was used to gather information issued to 159 people involved in teaching practices. The results and conclusions reveal that the ITC are a potent resource in the Practice given the requirement that the participating have suitable human resources and materials. Nevertheless, the use of these new technological tools in the teaching practice presents a challenge for innovation in educational careers.
