Expectations and beliefs of the users about agricultural cooperatives

Abstract
The present study has the purpose of analyzing the psychosocial aspects involved in the process of formation and maintenance of cooperatives, attracting attention to the semantic valuation that the cooperative and cooperativism constructs incoporates and becomes self-justificative of this existence. Data of research, done with 11 technicians of different government organs are to the cooperativism, and 80 cooperative's partners. It was verified the presence of believes that value the cooperatives and cooperativism. In spite of the empiric evidences of failure of those organizations, they tend to support themselves, on the technician's side, because they can't foresee others types of organizations thet substitutes them, and on the partner's side, because they observe those organizations as a government benefit

Francisco José Batista de Albuquerque, UFPB - João Pessoa - PB
Graduação em Psicologia pelo IPE (1976), mestrado em Psicologia (Psicologia Social) pela UFPB (1983) e doutorado em Psicologia pela UCM (1994). Atualmente é Professor Adjunto IV da UFPB nos cursos de Graduação e Pós-Graduação em Psicologia, lecionando disciplinas vinculadas a Psicologia Social e a Metodologia da Pesquisa. Coordena o Núcleo de Estudos sobre Desenvolvimento Rural e Avaliação de Programas (NEDRAPS).
Graduação em Formação em Psicologia pela UFPB (1999), graduação em Licenciatura Em Psicologia pela UFPB (1997) e mestrado em Psicologia (Psicologia Social) pela UFPB (2003). Atualmente é professor da UNIT.
