Abstract

http://dx.doi.org/10.5007/2175-7992.2016v23n1p160

Focused on the novel Dormir al sol (1973), by Adolfo Bioy Casares, this essay analyses the productivity of heuristics and ethical suggestions in this work. It takes the theory and practice of the science fiction novel as a reference. This literary heuristics by Bioy Casares can be thought of as an aesthetic that pursues the representation of an ethical performance within the speculative dimension of science fiction. In this sense, and to orientate the reflection I propose here, the question is: what is the ethical performance, in the novel, and why it could be so called?
