This article focuses on the dialectical relation between the dramatic text and the theatrical staging of it, as well as the role taken by the director in the transposition of the written text to the scene. For this reason, a distinction is made between the concepts of drama, theatre and performance. Concerning the theatre director, the article establishes a comparison between him and the reader of a dramatic text, since both – each in his proper way – perform the tasks of reading and interpreting the text.Downloads
