The impacts of world economic crisis above the Santa Catarina economics

Abstract

This study analyse the impacts of world economic crisis that started in 2008 above the Santa Catarina economics with emphasis in the balance of trade. The focus on this point is to show that the comercial relatioship in both Brazilian and Santa Catarina cases were affected by the economic crisis, but the differents forms. However, we observed a comum fact in both cases: the existence of huge déficits in the balance of trade, especially during the years the economics crisis was more stronly. The main conclusions of the paper highlight that the participation of the Santa Catarina exports in the Brazilian comercial relationship have been decreased since the economic crisis beginning, at the same time the imports increased a lot. This fact have been generated an important comercial déficit in the Santa Catarina balance of trade in the last years.
