Abstract

This article focuses, in the first place, on the investigation of the song “Meu pequeno Cachoeiro, by Raul Sampaio. For that, it takes as support the elements for the analysis of folk songs of Luiz Tatit (2003). Then, it examines the direct link between the composer and the singer Roberto Carlos. In the case of this song, it is not plausible to consider that the sung word exists only here and now, that is, that it lives in the present as an isolated event and without real existence outside the performance. Raul Sampaio and Roberto Carlos shape their performances of “Meu pequeno Cachoeiro” with different meanings, as both carry memories and echoes of other modes and recreations.

Maikely Teixeira Colombini, Federal University of Espírito Santo

Doutoranda em Letras pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Letras da Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo (UFES). É Mestra em Letras - Estudos Literários pela Universidade Federal de Viçosa (UFV) e graduada em Letras com Licenciatura em Português e Literaturas de Língua Portuguesa por esta mesma instituição. Seus interesses perpassam a Literatura em geral, com ênfase especial no cronista Rubem Braga.

 

Wilberth Claython Ferreira Salgueiro, Federal University of Espírito Santo

Graduação em Letras Português-Literatura pela UERJ (1985), mestrado em Letras (Literatura brasileira) pela UFRJ (1990), doutorado em Letras (Teoria da literatura) pela UFRJ (1996) e pós-doutorado em Literatura comparada pela UERJ (2006) e em Literatura brasileira pela USP (2014). Ingressou, em 1993, na Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo (UFES), onde, a partir de maio/2014, se tornou Professor Titular.
