Abstract

This article deals with the relationship between art and society, approaching it as inseparable, originated from the relation between mankind and its natural environment, and understanding art as a founding and unifying agent in societies. The text emphasizes the interdisciplinary aspect, focusing the proposals presented by Karl Marx, Sigmund Freud, Michel Foucault and Umberto Galimberti.

Graduação em Licenciatura Plena Em Desenho e Plástica pela UFRGS (1971) , especialização em Teoria e Crítica de Arte pela UDESC (1993) e mestrado em Educação e Cultura pela UDESC (2001).
