Abstract

Thirteen poems that appear in Peter Greenaway’s film “The Pillow Book” are translated into Portuguese from their originals in English. On the film those poems are written in Japanese over the bodies of several men, generating the concept of ‘bodybook’. Some remarks are also made about Greenaway’s cinematography and about the Japanese poetess Sei Shonagon.
