An interdisciplinary reading of moving image about the documentary "O Maciço"

Abstract

This article consists of a reading of the documentary "O Maciço", which has as its theme the communities that inhabit the massive Morro da Cruz in Florianopolis, from a perspective of reading the moving image to view the content of the work, the while its shape, and thus the elements that constitute what might be called the audiovisual language. In the process of reading, we attempted to establish a interdisciplinary approach, seeking to cover various aspects in a film that refer to different fields of knowledge, seeking a dialogue between them. Thus, we sought to understand, from the elements of the film, the way in which the theme was worked and the formal choices made can produce some effects of meaning in directing viewers meanings in view the aspect of shared meaning production due the insertion of the spectators in the same culture in general.
