Abstract

This paper aims to contribute to the discussion about the New Age in Brazil, highlighting not only its way, as well as its developments, especially from what we call Popular New Age, which allows a re-articulation of the New Age Discourse and the elements of the popular religiosity, contextualizing it through the processes of social change. Beyond this aspect, it could also be remarked the character of unification that this moment brings to the New Age. We argue that the Popular New Age shows up not only in New Religious Movements (e.g. "Santo Daime" and/or the "Valley of the Dawn", between others), as well as in another religious practices.
