Mediations in social movements: encouraging social and political transformations

Abstract

The main objective of this paper is to develop a discussion about the actions of mediation developed by social movements and political organizations in contemporary society. Based on an interdisciplinary dialogue between some of Humanities, sought to understand the specific role of these actions in collective struggles and their consequences in the formation of new political behaviors and interactions between organizations, public opinion and state power. Thus, this paper focuses on the roles of mediation in processes of social and political mobilizations carried out by organized political groups and social movements in contemporary society.
