Abstract

Assuming that it is in early childhood education that should be offered possibilities so that the integral and global development of the children occurs within the plural and cultural context where they are inserted, the discussion about the organization of an integrated curriculum, with conditions to effect the interdisciplinarity, becomes more and more latent. Thus, the present paper aims to understand the meanings of the terms related to integration and interdisciplinarity contained in volume 1 of the Benchmark National Curricula for Early Childhood Education, through the conceptualization of both terms from the references of research of Ivani Fazenda and James Beane, coming to a conclusion about the orientation to interdisciplinarity and/or integrated presented, explicit or not, on the analyzed document.
