Abstract

How to have a new look for possibilities beyond the ones that camera give? But, does the camera give other possibilities than those of its operation? In this gap between objectivity and subjectivity lies the social and cinematic purpose of this article, phenomenological bias. Cinema Novo pioneer in the 1960s, a film, for Ruy Guerra, is an expression of his personality. In this case, what motivate him? How does it balance between subjectivity and rationalism? How can a man, in spite of life, become a poet? This is the question that underlies the tragic postmodernity, in which one might characterize, to finalize the text, the current state of authorship, as we shall see in the movies of Ruy Guerra through the sociological phenomenology.
