This study is based on the assumption that it is not sufficient to affirm the importance of interdisciplinarity, it must be analyzed in order to understand its challenges and achievements. In the case of the Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Human Sciences (PPGICH), the following questions are raised: who are the actors who are part of the interdisciplinary construction? How can the construction of knowledge be focused, based on the distinction between the fields of concentration and the most common issues? The general objective of this article is to characterize the profile of the Interdisciplinary Doctoral Program in the Human Sciences through a quantitative and descriptive approach to describe the characteristics of the phenomenon being studied. Documentary research was conducted to collect data. The characterization of the profile allows indicating some obstacles, recognizing the trajectory that has been built, to compare and support possible changes in the strategies of the course, as well as analyze how the interdisciplinary program is distinct from other disciplinary programs.Downloads
