Professor Flávia Luciane Consoni de Mello has stood out for her work in the area of studies on science, technology and innovation, with a path of investigations through the prism of social sciences on topics such as the employment of women in industrial R&D, foreign automakers and the development of technologies in the country, smart cities and local demands, and transitions to the use of electric vehicles in sustainable urban mobility. This path has been transformed into a significant bibliographic production with consequent training of human resources, as well as a set of interdisciplinary academic collaborations and communication actions in attention to the most recent public debate about electric vehicles. He is currently a Full Professor at the Institute of Geosciences at Unicamp (IG/Unicamp), integrating the Graduate Program in Science and Technology Policy, where he created LEVE (Laboratory of Studies on Electric Vehicles). She finished her PhD in Science and Technology Policy at Unicamp in 2004. In this interview, the professor and researcher talks not only about her investigations and collaborations around innovation, but also about the performance of actors in the innovation system, among other topics. The conversation took place on March 14, 2022, by videoconference.
