Resumo

Population growth, the preference for urban life, and climate change point to a chaotic scenario if there are no rapid responses in terms of environmental responsibility, sustainable economy, social justice, and preservation of cultural vitality, through public policies that respond to this scenario. Sustainable Cities emerge as one of the possible solutions to organize and direct society, avoiding imminent collapse. However, the understanding of the processes involved in collaboration for such urban interventions is still scarce. Therefore, this article proposes a theoretical-methodological path that employs design strategies to promote citizen participation in the creation of sustainable urban interventions. This aims to ensure inclusion and attention to the needs and expectations of the population. Strategic Design serves as the theoretical and methodological basis, integrating the tactics of tracking, projection, and annotated portfolio, which can be formalized in an enabling digital platform.
