Attention to the persons’ health who’s live as a homeless

The homeless population has increased in recent years in Brazil, and to understand the perception of them about care and health is the first step to meet so humanized their needs and to create the bond between this population and the health service. The objective of this study was to understand the perceptions of health for people in the streets in the city of Joinville/SC. The project was approved by the ethics committee of the Bom Jesus/IELUSC with the opinion in 1,521.484. Were included among participants who agreed to participate, through the signing of the inform consente form as CNS Resolution 466/2012. For data collection were conducted interviews with men and women on the streets, in the period from April to May of the year 2016 in the city of Joinville/SC. The participants were predominantly men, literate, who have a source of income but without employment and face difficulties to have access to hygiene and food in quantity and adequate quality. Evaluating the thematic nuclei (health and sickness, work and income, health service) We can conclude that the perceptions of health of the homeless population are directly related to the habits and quality of life of each individual, transcending the concept of literature.
