Políticas públicas de turismo no Brasil: território usado, território negligenciado

Abstract

This text analyses the use tourism makes of territory, from recent tourism public policies (from nineties till today) and its spatial repercussions. That’s why we take as a central category of analysis the concept of ‘ used territory’, proposed by Santos & Silveira (2001), that indicates, among some things, an empiric treatment of the subject. So, we discuss here the largest governmental programs created to develop tourism in Brazil and their meaning in relation to territory for, at the end, conclude with a critical analysis about tourism governmental planning in our country.
