Abstract

The present article about the limits and possibilities of the contribuition of field trip for geographical research is the result from a reflection on readings and discussions carried out in the course 'Gographical Research Orientation'. Such readings took into account authours who were concerned with the development of epistemology like Chalmers, Cardoso, Feyerabend among others. This article also brings other authors who dealt with questions related to field trip more specifically about the qualitative work in social science like Demo and Trivinõs. The statement that the referred authours were no geographers was considered. Therefore, the manifestations enclosed here should be adapted to the Human Geography. Why do I point out this gap? For the own complexity of the object of Geography, a set of systems of objects and systems of actions that cannot be separated.
