O local, o nacional e o global na geografia e as práticas escolares
Abstract
In today’s world, educators and, among them, the ones
teaching Geography, face the challenge of offering elements for the understanding and transformation of a fast changing reality.
Considering the complex articulation among the scales,
from which the structure system-world is structured, is the first step in direction to learning the scope and the nature of the changes in progress, taking into account the genesis of the economic internationalization process that sustains capitalist development.
The possibilities and limits for framing a more humane and
fair society are linked, on the one hand, to the unveiling of the ways space and time relate nowadays and, on the other hand, by the clear recognition of the impasse and the conflicts that mark our society.
