Abstract

The theme of the shopping centres inserts in the midst of the transformations occurred  in the in trade associated with the real estate and financial dynamics. The article proposed here aims to analyze the shopping centres of the current stage of the  metropolis Fortaleza.  It starts with the relationship between the metropolis, shopping centre, space production and consumption that are quite narrow, is linked to the new dynamics of internationalization of the world economy. The article has as reflective instrumental the categories, the dynamic and the spatial processes related to real estate-tertiary.

Author Biography

Tiago Estevam Gonçalves, Professor of Geography at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Ceará.

He is a Professor at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Ceará (IFCE). Has a PhD in Geography at the Federal University of Ceará. He participated in a PhD sandwich at the University of Lisbon. He works as a temporary researcher at the Center for Geographical Studies - CEG at the University of Lisbon. He is a researcher at the Observatório das Metrópoles-Fortaleza. Participates in the Laboratory of Urban and Regional Planning of the Federal University of Ceará. He holds a degree in Geography / Degree from the Federal University of Ceará (2006), a degree in Geography / Bachelor from the Federal University of Ceará (2007) and a master's degree in Geography from the Federal University of Ceará (2009). Emphasis on Urban Geography and Geography of Commerce and Consumption, working mainly on the following themes: shopping center, new centralities, centrality, consumption and urban space.
