We achieve with this article to sketch an approximation between the concepts of territory and place, with a view to discussing the way in which the riverine produces its space. The look set aside for analysis is that set up in Humanist Cultural Geography. As methodology, a dense bibliographic survey was used, both in electronic journals and books, observations and semi-structured interviews. As a result, it was possible to evaluate that the riverine being is related to the dwelling on the banks of the rivers and streams, the traditional fishing and the subsistence economy. Their territory was produced in the experiences of theirs daily life and in the attachment that these riverside possess with the space, in the established relations that become the affective bond with the place.
