Abstract

Industrial heritage and the cultural landscape research became proeminently in the latter half of the twentieth century. Through these concepts, memories of social groups are highlighted. The present work is based on the following question: to what extent is industrial heritage related to the cultural landscape? In pursuit of answers, we searched for elements to establish of a debate, having as a methodological basis a bibliographical review that aimed to explain the main questions that guide these concepts and that make possible this relation. In general, we perceived the importance of this relation in wich the industrial heritage influences the constitution of the cultural landscape, giving life to it, and also, being composed by it, influenced by its structuring. It was verified that a joint treatment of these concepts is an important source of analysis for the collectivity that conforms it.
