The inter-relations between the arts translate into a fairly recent discussion. One of the elements of this framework is the translation intersemiotic that consists of the connection between signal systems. This article proposes the analysis of the intersemiotic adaptation of the play Hamlet, Prince of Denmark, by William Shakespeare for the cinema in films of Laurence Olivier and Franco Zeffirelli.
