This article tries to show the importance of the materiality of an archive not only to the biography of Jorge Amado, in the years of 1941 e 1942, but also to help understanding the relation established in this period between intellectuals and communists, the paths in the biographic development of Luiz Carlos Prestes and the publication and repercussion of the book then called O Cavaleiro da Esperança.Downloads
