The "??????? ????". The unspeakble thresholds between myth and mystery essay has as object the analyze conducted by Giorgio Agamben about the Kore mythical figure from her critical essay La ragazza indicibile. Mito e mistero di Kore (Milan, Electa, 2010). Through the comparation between the philosophical dissertation of Agamben and the pictorial investigation of Monica Ferrando, remembering the old source of Eleusis and Orfeu myth, the essay proceed on myth deepening of Kore and Demetra, one of the most important on western tradition. The myth suggests many investigation ways: the relation between the visible and invisible, between the “see” and the vision, to give an example. The ancients identified the threshold between male and female in Kore and Demetra, that reflect other duality or the primordial between life and death, light and daskness. The Kore mystery endures in its unspeakable in that threshold condition that the thought of Agamben and the pictorial hand of Ferrando trace so clearly.Downloads
