This article aims to reflect on how the representation of lesbian couples in contemporary literature can contribute to destabilize the heterosexual thinking that stands out in our society. Tales will be analyzed Grandma, you are a lesbian, Marilia wakes up and As aunts, Amora, Natalia Polesso (2015). The three narratives have as main characters couples formed by two women, who have lived together for many years and, therefore, can be analyzed as an example of non-heteronormative relationship. The theoretical basis for the study will be the writings of Monique Wittig (2017), about straight thinking, Adrienne Rich (2010), about lesbian existence, and Judith Butler (2016), regarding the issue of feminism in contemporary times. Although the authors do not agree on some aspects of this theme, they all point to the need to discuss and highlight the role of lesbian women not only in the literary field, but in the academic and social world.References
