Abstract

Based on the book Canoas e Marolas by João Gilberto Noll, I investigate acharacter who camouflages himself in his own contemporary loss and indecision. I supportthe idea that Canoas e Marolas deepens the theme which has appeared in other novels, suchas Hotel Atlântico and Bandoleiros, from the impoverished man's narrative, aware of hisanonymous condition which is affirmed through the body that feels in spite of the action,and which refuses to inscribe himself in the laws of time and consumption of the contem-porary capitalist world.

Ieda Maria Magri, Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina

Possui graduação em Letras - Licenciatura em Língua Portuguesa e Liter pela Universidade Federal de SC (2002) , mestrado em Literatura pela Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (2005) e curso-tecnico-profissionalizante em magistério pelo Colégio Bom Pastor (1996) . Tem experiência na área de Letras , com ênfase em Literatura Brasileira. Atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: artes, crítica, teatro, música.
