Os marcos são: o conto, a reza e o evangelho
Abstract
In this work to we, firstly, intend on making a brief analysis of Guimarães Rosa’s short story, São Marcos and, following, a comparison between this story and the Gospel of Saint.Mark. Both texts discourse on faith and religion, and belief as the only form of salvation. In the first text, the protagonist, superstitious, and at the same time skeptically, passes trough an experience of transformation. What saves him is the faith in words, in the prayer of Saint Mark. In the second text, the Gospel, a part of the story of Jesus’ life is summarized, from the time of his baptism to his resurrection and trough this time various miracles and cures done by him, told as examples of unconditional faith.Downloads
