De exílio, saudades e afagos
Abstract
This essay analyzes the narratives found in two blogs written by Brazilian women that left Brazil in order to live in other countries with their foreign fiancés who became their future husbands. Following a common movement of this period that is dictated by the dynamic and unstable conditions of contemporary existence, one can deduce from the posts in their perspective blogs that besides love these women were also in search of increased opportunities and new life experiences. This essay analyzes these narratives based on the theoretic perspectives of Said, Hall and Shohat with respect to the ideas of patriotism, diaspora and exile.Downloads
