Abstract

This paper purposes an interpretation of the short story A tale of so much love from Clarice Lispector. It aims to demonstrate that the narrative is built through a parodic inversion of the fairy tales model, connecting it to a Zeitgeist characterized by the notion of the original totality rupture, from which parody and irony are the main expressions. It also shows how the text, apparently simple, assumes many similarities to the rest of the author’s production and has many levels of signification.
