Truth and justice in the Revista Vozes
Abstract
Durante o governo militar, coube, muitas vezes, aos periódicos, o papel de denunciar os desmandos da ditadura. Tarefa árdua, visto que os que a empreendiam não gozavam de liberdade de expressão. A partir de 1964, ao publicarem qualquer nota que ia contra os interesses do governo, jornalistas e intelectuais podiam ser chamados a depor logo após a veiculação de seus artigos e seus nomes eram anotados nos arquivos secretos do governo. Se houvesse reincidência, geralmente eram presos. A censura já estava em vigor, mas não como a que se instaurou no país depois de dezembro de 1969, com a publicação do AI-5.Downloads
