La traducción de poesía en lengua francesa en Argentina: El caso de Diario de Poesía (2000 - 2004)

En una entrada de la Routledge Encyclopedia of Translation Studies se lee que, al interior del campo de la traducción literaria, la traducción de poesía “ha sido el objeto de una gran discusión”, discusión alojada en la duda teórica sobre su verdadera posibilidad, “aún cuando su práctica sea universalmente aceptada y lo haya sido por al menos 2000 años, durante los cuales la poesía traducida influyó y con frecuencia formó parte del canon de la tradición poética de la lengua meta” (Connolly en Baker, 1998:170). Estas líneas, que aparecen en la entrada “Poetry Translation”, marcan no sólo una tensión históricamente establecida entre una práctica y los discursos que la abordaron, sino que delinea esa paradoja que las reflexiones posestructuralistas sobre traducción contribuyeron a sostener: la que oscila entre los términos de la necesidad y lo imposible (Hermans, 2007:89).
