Abstract

This text goes through some writings of Raul Antelo where he develops a reflection on the concept of object a developed by the French psychoanalyst Jacques Lacan. Lacan will think of the object a as opening an out of place in the structure, therefore, a non-place, a kind of beacon that challenges the subject. It is for this reason that the object a opens space for us to think about the theme of utopias. The object a is the great Lacanian invention and Raul Antelo potentiates this thought by showing some possible articulations in the dialogue between psychoanalysis and literature.
