Land ownership and alienability in truth production relations in East Timor

This article discusses the relationship between knowledge and society from the perspective of the production of truth. Through an ethnographic approach, it examines the changing relationships between ontological security and legal security in the area of professionalization of legal assistance in East Timor. Consequently, it is suggested that land ownership and alienability are produced in multiple scenarios through compositions, always contingent and emergent, between heterogeneous agendas of interest and techniques with a claim to truth.
