FINANCIAL GUIDANCE: A NEW POSSIBILITY OF PRACTICE FOR THE PROFESSIONAL ADVISOR

Resumen

This article to present the activities of the Financial Guidance project, held in 2007, at from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC). The Financial Guidance is presented as one of the new possibilities for the professional consultant, and studies like this contribute to new research in career counseling. The project aimed to assist in analyzing and changing the relationship with the money of the participants. Eight meetings were made with about two and a half hours duration each, and a personal interview to each participant to assess the work done. At the end of the program, we could realize a significant improvement in the clarity and objectivity of the relationship of the participants with their money. Moreover, we conclude that the subject money is in the life of the individual and permeates their relationship with work, family and career choice.
