Resumen

La República Popular China (RPC) cuando se fundó en 1949 era la undécima nación más pobre del mundo y hoy tiene la segunda economía más grande en el mapa de poder global. Paralelamente al crecimiento económico acelerado, la República Popular China en las últimas décadas ha revolucionado sus niveles socioeconómicos y a finales de 2020 había erradicado la pobreza extrema en el país. Actualmente, la RPC se destaca como una experiencia a ser investigada por otras naciones dada la enorme relevancia que ha alcanzado a través de los resultados de sus políticas en las últimas décadas y demuestra a otros países en desarrollo caminos para que el logro de grandes cambios sociales positivos, más allá de un simple vistazo, se convierta en realidad.

Lucilene Cristina Calza, Universidade Federal do Paraná

Doutoranda do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Políticas Públicas da Universidade Federal do Paraná. Concluiu mestrado em Ciências Sociais (área de concentração Sociedade e Políticas Públicas) na Universidade Estadual de Maringá, especialização em Gestão de Pessoas e Projetos Sociais na Universidade Federal de Itajubá e graduação em Serviço Social na Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho. É assistente social no Ministério Público do Estado do Paraná desde 2010, onde presta apoio técnico na área de políticas sociais. Atualmente desenvolve pesquisa sobre as políticas sociais da República Popular da China.

Demian Castro, Universidade Federal do Paraná

Possui graduação em Economia pela Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (1976), mestrado em Economia pela Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (1980), doutorado em Ciência Econômica pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas (2005) e pós doutorado no Instituto de Economia da Universidade Estadual de Campinas (2015). Atualmente é professor associado III da Universidade Federal do Paraná. Professor do Programa de Pós Graduação em Políticas Públicas da UFPR.Tem experiência na área de Economia, com ênfase em Teoria e Política de Planejamento Econômico, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: política econômica, gestão publica, divida pública, previdência social, economia brasileira e processos de desenvolvimento comparados. Atualmente pesquisa o processo de desenvolvimento da República Popular da China e as relações entre este país e o Brasil.
