Dinâmica das vazões reguladas pelas usinas de Porto Primavera e Rosana, na região do Pontal do Paranapanema, no período 1999-2003

Abstract

This work aims to analyse the behavior of the discharges of Paraná and Paranapanema Rivers, in the Pontal do Paranapanema region, to the period posterior to the Hydropower Dam Engenheiro Sérgio Motta (Porto Primavera) closure. To do it, fluviometric records from the dams of Porto Primavera and Rosana are used, plus the hydrological series from Porto São José – CESP gauging station. The metodology used consist in a analysis of daily discharges hydrograms, that combine the records from both dams and the gauging station. The results had showed that the usines are interfering intensement in the discharges of Pontal do Paranapanema region. Almost all the time, the Porto Primavera dam contributes with 83% of the total discharge mesured downstream, while Rosana contribute with 17%. In some special cases, the discharge of Rosana dam can represent more then 50% of the measured discharge at Porto São José gauging station.
