Análise multitemporal do uso da terra por sensoriamento remoto para as diferentes unidades pedológicas da bacia do rio Jardim, importante produtora agrícola do Distrito Federal
Abstract
The multitemporal analysis of satelite images was applied
over a basin of the Cerrado (Brazilian Savanna) biome in order to verify the relationship between the human activity and the soil characteristics in the area. A time series of Landsat images were classified by their spectral mixture resulting in three land cover maps. By comparing these maps and the different soil types, one is able to quantify the amount of change that occurs in the landscape according to the use and to the edaphic features of the area. It was observed that between 1994 and 2002 there was a loss of the natural vegetation, but at the same time there was an increase of the technological inovations for irrigation, in which both were influenced by the pedological characteristcs of the basin.
