Abstract

This paper discusses the existing relationships between use
value, change value, work and product. All of this in/about cities. It
shows the political use of public works by municipal government,
the appropriation of “belongs feeling” of citizen by the Mayors and
suggest the transformation of urban space in change value through
tourism.

Mário Leal Lahorgue, UNESC - Criciúma - SC

Graduação em Geografia pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (1987), mestrado em Geografia (Geografia Humana) pela Universidade de São Paulo (1997) e doutorado em Geografia pela Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (2004).
