Abstract

The Italian immigrants built genuine cultural regions in Brazil, through the construction of symbols and their way of life. These simbolidades are preserved today by their descendants who sought to perpetuate the habits of their parents, grandparents and friends, because they feel part of the culture that was transmitted to them. This allows the maintenance of Italian identity. On the Quarta Colônia, above all, the cultural elements are immortalized and linked to daily life, whether by its cultural materiality and immateriality, articulated by the feeling of belonging and cultural identity.
