Interview with Professor Ewerton Vieira Machado

Abstract

This is an interview with Ewerton Vieira Machado, retired professor at the Department of Geosciences, who played an important role in the academic formation and guidance of several bachelor, licentiate and postgraduate students, in the foundation of research laboratories and academic associations, as well as in the organization of academic-scientific events, administrative coordination and in the development of actions to strengthen the teaching of Graduate and Postgraduate studies in Geography at the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina. In this interview, he tells us about his student and teaching story, from the early days of his passion about Geography, still in Aracaju, his hometown, to his coming to Florianópolis and all the personal and professional challenges he endured while working in Santa Catarina's Geography.
