Análisis de parámetros lineales de morfología de las dunas del Herschel cratera marte a través de imágenes de HIRISE

Los procesos del viento son elementos clave para comprender las superficies de los cuerpos celestes con atmósfera. En este trabajo se realizó un análisis de la actividad del viento en el cráter Herschel, a partir de dos campos de dunas con diferentes condiciones topográficas. En el campo este entre pequeños cráteres simples, y en el oeste, el campo de dunas ubicado dentro de un gran cráter de impacto, cerca del pico central, se elevó. Como fuentes de datos se utilizaron imágenes (resolución espacial de 0,25 m) y modelos digitales del terreno (DTM) con resolución espacial de 1 m / píxel, generados por el sensor HIRISE de la sonda Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO). Se midieron los parámetros horizontales (Área , acimut, largo, ancho y la relación largo / ancho) y los parámetros verticales (altura de la cresta (Hc), altura de la cara de deslizamiento (Hs), pendiente de la cara del talud, curvatura) de 10 dunas en cada campo.
