Rainfall trend analysis is a way to understand impacts that may be caused by climate changes. This paper aims at analyzing rainfall spatio-temporal variations on the state of Santa Catarina under three main perspectives: averages; seasonal trends; and thematic rainfall projections. Monthly data from the pluviometric stations were obtained from the Nacional Water Agency (ANA) database. Consistency using normal ratio was performed over raw data. Data evaluation over absolute values (average, minimum and maximum), trend analysis, clusters by Ward method and spatial distribution were also executed. Extreme West and West regions are responsible for the highest rainfall indexes (monthly and year estimations), moreover summer season being the wettest season. Trend analysis revealed precipitation increase in seven of eight Administrative State regions.Downloads
