Ferramentas, Mentes e Máquinas: uma excursão na filosofia da tecnologia

As máquinas fazem história? No que consiste a técnica – ou a tecnologia –, já que por vezes o conteúdo referido nesse verbete parece abranger todo conteúdo da atividade humana? Que resultado o avanço das forças produtivas tem nesse devir? Tais questões norteiam a excursão – no formato de revisão literária – em torno do tratamento do tema na filosofia europeia e estadunidense. Como se traçou a fronteira entre ferramentas e máquinas? Entre o qualificado e o mecanicamente determinado? Entre o manufaturado e maquinofaturado? Entre o puramente subjetivo e o puramente objetivo? Entre o projeto e execução? Ao percorrer os discursos que tocam essas dicotomias, indica-se qual pode ser o lugar do ser humano na multitude de processos fabricativos com os quais – com maior ou menor consciência – ele se engaja.
