Abstract

This article has the scope to discuss cultural heritage as an anthropological field and historically articulated when looking at appropriations of cultural heritage from conceptual variations and multiple social interests. As a historical construction heritage is marked by negotiations and disputes for its social recognition, however, popular initiatives de-orchestrate the senses of patrimonialization and generate social practices that have new perspectives on everyday life. In this way, experiences of popular culture are analyzed in the perspective of the music video of Néstor Canclini, images and narratives are related and reflect the uses of the patrimony through the religious occupation of a square, of the relation of belonging of a neighborhood with the theater, of a Work of the artist Tunga to a trash museum created with curators' work.
These experiences subvert the view of patrimony as a marketing fetish for ordinary social practices and transforming networks and intersections.
