Abstract

This article intends to analyze a cultural movement from Bahia and its heterogenesis process in the past and present. Two dimensions of this process are investigated: firstly, its relation or encounter with elements which, by their point of view, are understood as “from the outside”, a world conceived as external and historical. At the same time, this work also focuses on the transformations which come “from the inside”, this is, from an internal or subjective dimension. My aim is to understand the process that are at play in this encounter or fusion between the internal and external worlds. People, events and art objects are the means in which the encounter of these two worlds take place. They are also the entry for the present analysis, since they condense the forms of subjectivation that the movement’s participants are at once agents and patients.
