Notes about the identification of species of the genus <I>Phyllanthus</I>

Abstract

Several species of Phyllanthus are object of Biochemical and Pharmacological studies at University of Santa Catarina, Brazil, because their medical propreties; besides that, these plants are colected directly by the people for medical purpose. Thus, the correct identification of these species is very important. The aim of this study is to give information about morfological characteristics of P. tenellus Roxb., P. niruri L. and P. urinaria L., the most frequent species found around the Campus of University.
