José through the mirror
Abstract
"Meu destino não é ficar. Meu destino é lembrar que existem mais coisas que as vistas e ouvidas por todos." As declarações de Mário de Andrade, datadas de 1924, figuram em cartas ao amigo Carlos Drummond de Andrade. Se, por um lado, o enunciado indica um movimento em direção ao passado — a lembrança, por outro, assinala a importância de se perceber o que se encontra à margem — um desvio do olhar para verificar mais atentamente as superfícies de outros discursos que emergem no cenário. As palavras de Mário parecem permear a tessitura de José, revista literária que circula nos fins da década de 70 no Rio de Janeiro. O periódico lança um olhar sobre o passado modernista, publicando inclusive a correspondência de Mário de Andrade enviada ao poeta Drummond, e assume um tom nostálgico ao retratar o presente, mas permite também uma possibilidade de ver e ouvir este passado em outro contexto, proporcionando o repensar do discurso literário, em busca de outros sentidos.Downloads
