Abstract
No número 152 do jornal Opinião, de três de outubro de 1975, na página 22, uma pequena nota, intitulada “Para abrir as gavetas”, anuncia: Marcou-se para a última quarta-feira, dia 1º num bar-restaurante que fica atrás do TUCA, em Perdizes, São Paulo, o lançamento de mais uma tentativa de se vender a literatura como um artigo possível e digno de ser consumido em forma de revista. Que nasce com o nome de Escrita, não apenas para popularizar certos textos geralmente limitados aos manuais literários – ou simplesmente esquecidos – como também para abrir caminho para esta vasta produção que permanece no fundo das gavetas dos nossos escritores”. É o que garante a editora Vertente. Haverá em suas páginas espaço para todos os setores, sem exclusão de editores, livreiros, distribuidores, autoridades educacionais, normalmente enquadrados como inimigos públicos dos poetas e romancistas. No elenco do primeiro número figuram algumas das atrações de praxe das letras nacionais, como João Antônio, José J. Veiga, Antônio Torres, ao lado do santo padroeiro da marginalia em franca reabilitação religiosa: Lima Barreto. Tem 32 páginas e custa Cr$10.00.Downloads
